Biography

Mr. Plum has over 20 years’ experience in systems administration, data storage, help-desk and data/telecommunications. His duties include designing data storage systems, managing multiple projects, upgrading software and hardware platforms, installing system and third party software, implementing and administering network services, establishing and administering mail services, adding and removing hardware, administering security and accounting, and monitoring system and network performance. Mr. Plum has supervised employees and sub-contractors working at the National Institutes of Health- CC, CIT, NIAAA, NINDS, NCI and ORS. Other functions include planning, designing, and developing procedures. He devises the appropriate tests to evaluate, debug, and check equipment. Mr. Plum conveys expertise to project team managers to ensure goals and objectives are met. He surveys sites to determine installation costs. He manages equipment inventories and equipment assembly.  He configures training, testing, and development labs. Mr. Plum develops project schedules and applies resources for proposals and contracts.  He develops courses for instructors and students. Mr. Plum supervises task leaders and ensures the projects are following the project plans time line and costs. Mr. Plum provides support to the team members to ensure  a they have the tools and abilities to complete their tasks.
